The latest 1.0 Ecoboost is chain driven, so should be far less problematic (but equally is so new there may be other issues). From what I can gather it was introduced 2018 onwards (Focus) / 2020 onwards (Fiesta) For reference: Belt-in-Oil.

The 1.25 might seem a bit sluggish to you , particularly on long inclines. I know ecoboost failure is a low percentage but I wouldn’t be able to stop myself worrying about it. (We haven’t talked about the rusting coolant pipes on the turbo yet). I have 1.5tdci, on some of these the timing belt pulleys shatter .
Yes and no. All Mk3 Focus 1.0 are wet belts, all Mk4 Focus 1.0 are timing chain. In the Fiesta it is more complicated. The changeover was 2020 ish, but I haven't seen a definitive build date, it seems to vary a bit depending on model/output.
Open your bonnet. Locate timing belt. Look at what all needs to come off. It’s 8hrs + kit for the replacement. Originally designed as a life time of car job as it’s oil soaked etc.

Ford recommends their Fiesta, Focus, and other models fitted with the 1.0 Ecoboost engine have a maximum recommended timing belt (wet belt) replacement of every 10 years or 150000 miles (whichever is the soonest), and many vehicles are now due or approaching this milestone.

on the 1.5 at least, there's a bit more to it than that. As well as the sump, also involves work at the front of the engine including removing aux belt, timing chain cover, timing chain, timing pulley, balancer shaft pulley etc, which seems a fair bit of work and I guess would make it worthwhile renewing other parts (e.g. timing chain) while in there.
